Review: Marvel’s Agent Carter S2

Ever since Agent Carter season 1 ended, I’d hoped the series would continue for a couple of more years. My wish came true – partially. There was a riveting season 2, but unfortunately there won’t be any more seasons of my favourite female non-superhero of the MCU. (I count the Marvel TV shows and Netflix shows as the MCU as well.)

Review: Marvel’s Agent Carter S1

Marvel’s Agent Carter is an eight episode series spearheaded by Hayley Atwell, who played Peggy Carter – Captain America’s love interest – in both Captain America movies.  The show has the task of entertaining fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. until it returns on March 3.

Review: The Newsroom

Ah, the Newsroom. I gotta say: I absolutely adored it. I was hooked from the moment Will McAvoy (played by Jeff Daniels) went off on a rant about how America might have been the greatest country on earth, but now wasn’t any more and people should be sad and disappointed about it. I saw that moment on facebook and thought, “This is a show I have to at least try.”

Review: Fringe

When someone suggested Fringe to me, they did it by selling it as the next X-Files. Which didn’t do much for me on account that I’ve never actually seen an episode of the X-Files. I know there are a Scully and a Mulder, and one of them is a red-haired woman and one is a cop – they might be the same person for all I know -, and they solve cases that deal with the unknown. Pretty much like one of my favourite shows of all times: Supernatural. Only, in Supernatural there are two brothers and Supernatural deals with Fantasy and Horror, not Sci Fi. Continue reading

Review – Xena: Warrior Princess

Xena: Warrior Princess had always been the series I’d get back to one day. I had caught a couple of episodes on TV, but never followed the series while it ran. Xena ran from 1995 till 2001 and only now, in 2012, have I taken the time to really sit down and watch it. A few weeks ago I started on it and I raced through the 6 seasons like you wouldn’t believe it. Continue reading

House M.D. Series Finale

House M.D. is arguably one of my favorite shows ever. In any case, it’s the show I’ve been with the longest. I happened to tune into the first episode of season two one day while surfing channels and was hooked. I decided to watch the show online and started from the beginning. For some strange reason, I’ve always liked non-social characters more than social ones, especially when they choose to be non-social. Take Bones, for instance, who doesn’t choose to be non-social but just happens to be that way. I like her, but I like House more. Continue reading
