Review: Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch

Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch is the second book in the Gentleman Bastard series, and a whole lot of fun. But what else can you expect when it stars two lovable thieves?

Plot:

After fighting a battle for their lives with the underworld of Camorr, Locke and Jean are hurting, both physically and mentally. They lost many, and much, and Locke especially can’t seem to get out of the funk he’s sunk into. But then, an idea bubbles to the surface, and they decide to set foot on Tal Verrar to nurse their wounds, and to set up the biggest heist they’ve attempted yet. Unfortunately, in the midst of their preparations, it comes to light that someone knows the duo’s secrets, and is planning on using them in plans of their own. Review: Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2

I’ve been awaiting the release of Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 with bated breath ever since the first one ended and announced we’d be getting a sequel in 2017. I went to go see it yesterday – one of the perks of living in Europe; you get to see the MCU movies earlier than most.

Review – Xena: Warrior Princess

Xena: Warrior Princess had always been the series I’d get back to one day. I had caught a couple of episodes on TV, but never followed the series while it ran. Xena ran from 1995 till 2001 and only now, in 2012, have I taken the time to really sit down and watch it.
